Indian fishing vessel Rabbal was struck by 10,106-TEU APL Le Havre on April 12 in the Arabian Sea, killing three, with nine missing, reports Kiev's Maritime Bulletin, which specialises in marine casualties.
APL, formerly American President Lines Ltd., is a Singapore-based container shipping company which is now a subsidiary of French shipping company CMA CGM.
The APL Le Havre was en route from Singapore to Mumbai's Nhava Sheva terminal, when it struck the fishing vessel and turned around to assist.
Five crew members were rescued, three of whom died on board the ship. Nine are currently missing.
