Chuandong shipyard bags two chemical tankers

Cosco PetroChina Shipping has placed an order at CSSC Chongqing Chuandong Shipbuilding to build two chemical tankers.

The 6,300 dwt and 7,450 dwt chemical tankers, measuring 110.36 metres and 115 metres in length and 17.3 metres and 18 metres in width, respectively, will be capable to load and upload twelve kinds of chemical products simultaneously, meeting the requirements of Tier III and i-Ship (E).
Cosco PetroChina Shipping is the joint venture of Cosco Shipping and PetroChina, focusing on product oil, crude oil,chemical products and liquid natural gas (LNG) transportation.

Chuandong Shipbuilding is a major vessel construction base for small and middle size chemical tankers. The shipyard has delivered two chemical tankers this year and newly acquired four chemical tanker orders.
