The west China port operator Beibu Gulf Port and Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) have signed strategic framework cooperation agreement.

The two ports will jointly promote interactive developments, strengthen informational cooperation, construct an intelligent port, and improve logistics service ability.
Beibu Gulf Port and SIPG have deepened cooperation on shipping service development and intelligent construction. We are expecting to open up more shipping routes and expand cooperation on port information technology, said Li Yanqiang, Chairman of Beibu Gulf Port.

As the end of October, Beibu Gulf Port posted a cargo throughput of 228m tons and a container volume of 5.58m teu, an increase of 2.9% and 17.04% year-on-year, respectively.
