The 16,022-TEU CMA CGM Marco Polo has arrived at the Port of Halifax, the biggest ship to call at a Canadian port, reports the American Journal of Transportation.

The vessel is 396 metres in length and 54 metres abeam. It sails on the weekly Ocean Alliance AWE3 service arriving directly from South Asia, South East Asia and China.
"We have a reliable workforce here in Halifax. We have a strong community sense here. We can work it efficiently and reliably. Saltwater is in our veins. We know how to handle these big ships and turn them around," said Port of Halifax CEO Allan Gray.
The port connects to more than 150 countries and in 2020, the impact of the port on the Province of Nova Scotia was over US$3.6 billion in economic output with the direct portion being $2.3 billion.
