Shippers suffer 18pc drop in liner reliability in October

LINER schedule reliability remained low in October averaging 34.4 per cent with no line managing more than 50 per cent and the lowest, Evergreen, coming in last at 13.6 per cent.

The most reliable line in October among the top 14 was Maersk at 46.4 per cent, followed by its subsidiary, Hamburg Sud at 38.1 per cent.
Sea Intelligence's latest Global Liner Report showed a marginal improvement in container line schedule reliability in October with 0.4 percentage point improvement to 34.4 per cent. The report covers over 60 carriers on 34 different trades.
Schedule reliability over the year came in at 34 to 40 per cent as lines continue to struggle with port congestion, supply chain disruption, and capacity issues. Year-on-year October schedule reliability fell 18 per cent.
The line with the lowest schedule reliability was Evergreen standing at just 13.4 per cent in October. The Taiwanese carrier was one of four lines with reliability below 20 per cent in October.
