Author:   Posttime:2021-12-23

THE 9687540-IMO Cochrane arrived in Hong Kong on December 12 with the first Chilean seafreight cherries of the season, reports Netherlands' Fresh Plaza.

The first container came from Garces Fruit and contained standard 2.5 kg boxes of Santina cherries that sold at US$48.61 to $59.58.
The supply volume of seafreight cherries is limited, so the price difference between seafreight and air freight cherries remains small.
Meanwhile, the first Chilean Kordia cherries arrived by air on December 16, with them quickly selling out.
In addition to the cherries, there are also small volumes of Shine Muscat grapes from Korea.
Top-quality Shine Muscat grapes sell for $48.61 to $50.17 USD per 2kg.
The supply volume of seafreight blueberries is more or less the same as in week 49, with the price stable at $13.33 to $16.46 per 1.5 kg.
Israeli grapefruit is also available, with price at $26.65 to $28.22 per 15kg. At the same time, a small volume of hairy peaches from Australia arrived by air with the current price around $34.49 to $43.90 per 3.75kg.
As for domestic fruit, the current price of large blueberries is $37.63 per 1.5kg, and for medium-sized blueberries, the price is $25.09 per 1.5kg.
