RUSSIA's FESCO Transportation Group has welcomed the 2,470-TEU Sankt Peterburg, to its fleet, reports St Petersburg PortNews.
The 31,490-dwt vessel, built in 2023, measures 172 metres in length, 32.2 metres in width, and is manned by a crew of 19, and is the third of six ships to join the FESCO fleet this year.
The Sankt Peterburg will be dedicated to serving FESCO's foreign trade line connecting the ports of China and St Petersburg. Its maiden voyage is set to depart from the port of Ningbo in mid-August 2023.
With this latest addition, FESCO's fleet now consists of 34 vessels.
Their diversified yet integrated asset portfolio allows them to deliver door-to-door logistics solutions and maintain control over various stages of the intermodal transportation value chain.
Among their significant assets, FESCO holds control over the Commercial Port of Vladivostok, operates rail operators Transgarant and Dalreftrans, manages container platforms through Russkaya Troyka, and owns dry terminal facilities in Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, and Tomsk.
Additionally, the company possesses a fleet of over 150,000 containers and 10,000 container platforms. Most of the fleet is deployed on their sea service lines.
