In November, a total of 69,922 TEU crossed the wharves at the Western Australian port - the biggest monthly number since April's 72,342 TEU.

November's throughput was an increase of 18 per cent on October's total container throughput of 59,102 TEU. And, it was a slight (1 per cent) decrease on November 2020's container throughput of 70,588 TEU.

November's total container throughput was above the average for the past 12 months of 64,890 TEU.

At 29,870 TEU, total containerised exports from the port in November were roughly in line with October's numbers but down by 15 per cent on November 2020's exports.

In November, total containerised imports leapt 37.6 per cent from 29,113 TEU in October to 40,052 the following month.

Year-on-year, imports were up as well - November 2021 saw an increase of 13.5 per cent on the same month in 2020.
