Containership aground en route from Baltimore to Norfolk

THE 11,850-TEU Ever Forward ran aground recently on its way out of the Port of Baltimore, with the ship stuck and no indication of when it could be moved, reports Chesapeake Bay Magazine.

Coast Guard Petty Officer Stephen Lehmann declared the ship, ran aground at night, but no one was injured.
The ship was headed for Norfolk when it got stuck near the Craighill Channel.
Ever Forward was built in 2020, is 1,050 feet long, and draws 42.6 feet of water.
In the area where Ever Forward is sitting, there are 24 feet of water at Mean Low water.
Annapolis School of Seamanship (ASOS), captured a video of the ship.
The video shows it loaded to the top with containers.
