OOIL ranked in top 1pc S&P Global ESG Score of Chinese corporations

HONG KONG's Orient Overseas (International) Limited (OOIL), now a Cosco unit, is listed in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2023 as in the top one per cent of the most ESG compliant among Chinese corporations.

The companies listed in the yearbook are selected on the basis of the results of a Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), an annual integrated assessment of governance & economic, environmental, and social criteria with a strong focus on long-term shareholder value, said a company statement.



Some 1,600 Chinese companies from 60 industries in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau that have participated in the 2022 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) entered the selection scope of this yearbook, 88 outstanding companies from 44 industries were selected into the Sustainability Yearbook 2023 (China Edition), said the statement.



OOIL has principal business activities in container transport and logistics services. Listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the OOIL Group has around 440 offices in 90 countries/regions. Orient Overseas Container Line and OOCL are trade names for transportation provided separately by Orient Overseas Container Line Limited (OOCLL) and OOCL (Europe) Limited.
